Important Information and Advice
- As an official ETS test center, SI is required to follow the ETS guidelines and procedures. We will do our best to help you out if you have any concerns or problems, but please direct questions about the test, scoring, payment, receipt of scores, etc., to ETS directly.
- We do not administer any language listening exams at St. Ignatius. If you were assigned elsewhere (even somewhere far away) for a listening exam, this is why.
- Please arrive at campus by 7:45 AM (just to be sure!). We typically open the doors between 8:00 and 8:15 am and have students in seats and listening to instructions almost immediately. You must bring ID (student ID is fine), even if you are an SI student, and your registration slip.
- Bring a calculator with fresh batteries if you are taking exams that allow calculators.
- Consider bringing a snack to eat during the breaks.
- We do not accept any money. All monetary transactions must take place directly with the Educational Testing Services (ETS). We will, however, mail your standby registration form for you (no stamp required) if you fill it out and bring it in with a check made out to ETS or the College Board. You can pick up a registration form in the Counseling Office.
- If you are interested in becoming a center change or standby student, check the rules online at the College Board. If you are an SI student, check with Ms. Frazer in the Counseling Office - she will have an information sheet for you. You must arrive early on the morning of the exam and take your chances with other standby students. There is no guarantee that space will be available.
